On offer are single rooms, double rooms, complete apartments and entire houses for 1 to 12 people, from €14 per person per night. We run the apartments ourselves, have been on the market since 2021 and can be reached on +49 157 77408844.

Availability

Accommodation at short notice

Short-notice enquiries are the norm for us, not the exception. You reach us by phone daily from 8 am to 8 pm and on WhatsApp around the clock, weekends included: one dedicated contact person, never a call centre. If a unit is free in your city, you can move in the same day. Check-in is from 4 pm, as a rule by key safe or code, so late arrivals let themselves in. The apartments are fully furnished, bed linen and towels are ready. If we cannot help, you hear that immediately, so you lose no time.

Terms

Contractor accommodation, worker housing, crew accommodation

There are many words for the same thing. What is meant is always a fully furnished apartment for a limited period, and that is exactly what we rent out. The layout follows the size of the team and the length of stay, not the job title.

Contractor accommodation
An apartment for tradespeople working away from home on a job: journeymen, master craftsmen, whole squads. Usually two to six people, usually travelling by van.
Worker housing
The most widely used term in the German trade, where it is called Monteurunterkunft and often treated as the same thing as Monteurzimmer or Monteurwohnung. It means housing fitters and service technicians for the duration of an assignment.
Crew accommodation
An older term, often used for larger groups. With us that means the complete apartment or the entire house for one crew, rather than a room in a workers' hostel.
Temporary accommodation
The neutral umbrella term for everything between a hotel and an open-ended lease. It also covers project teams, business travellers and companies housing staff for a fixed period.

Our portfolio

Not a portal, the operator itself

MA-Flats draws on more than 500 units in its own portfolio, and on more than 1,000 across Germany. We run our apartments ourselves: furnishing, cleaning, key handover and invoicing all go through us.

That is the difference from a listings portal. Your enquiry reaches one dedicated contact who knows what is free, instead of a form passed on to third-party landlords. You book directly with the operator, with no middleman and no agency fee.

Space

How many people fit in

A squad of seven people usually stays with us in one house or in two neighbouring apartments in the same building. Tell us the team size and we will plan the split.

Frequently asked questions

Good to know

Is MA-Flats an agency or the landlord?
We are the operator, not a listings portal. The apartments are run and let by us: furnishing, cleaning, key handover and invoicing all go through us. There is no middleman and no agency fee, you speak directly with the operator of the apartment.
What is the difference between a room and a whole apartment?
A room, in German a Monteurzimmer, is a single room, usually as a single or double, with the kitchen and bathroom shared within the house. An apartment, a Monteurwohnung, is a self-contained unit for you alone or for your team. Contractor accommodation, worker housing and crew accommodation are collective terms for both.
What does contractor accommodation cost?
From €14 per person per night. We will tell you the exact price straight away on the phone; it depends on the city, the dates, the number of rooms and the team size. Always included are the furnished apartment, the equipped kitchen, bathroom, washing machine, bed linen, towels and the final cleaning.
How quickly can I get accommodation?
Short-notice enquiries are the norm here. You reach us by phone daily from 8 am to 8 pm, on WhatsApp around the clock, weekends included. If a unit in your city is free, you can move in the same day; check-in is from 4 pm, as a rule by key safe or code. A no comes just as fast, so you can keep looking.
Can I book as a private individual or only as a company?
Both are possible. Most of our guests come through their employer, because the invoice is then made out to the business and paid by bank transfer. Booking as a private individual changes nothing about the process: tell us the job site, the dates and the number of people, and you get a quote.
Can I rent a whole house for the crew?
Yes. Alongside single and double rooms we rent out complete apartments and entire houses of up to 113 m². A squad of seven people usually stays in one house or in two neighbouring apartments in the same building. Tell us the team size and we will plan the split.
Do I have to register with the authorities while staying in worker housing?
For a stay of up to six months with your main residence elsewhere, registration is usually not required. If you stay longer, talk to us and we will clarify it for your accommodation. Binding information is given by the residents' registration office of the city in question.
Will we get an invoice made out to the company?
Yes. We invoice your business directly and payment is made by bank transfer. For schedulers and site managers that means one contact, one document, and no out-of-pocket payments by the workers.
How does check-in work?
Check-in is possible from 4 pm and, as a rule, runs via a key safe or a code. That way you get into the apartment on your own, late in the evening or at the weekend, without anyone having to wait for you. Arriving later than planned is no problem, just let us know beforehand.
Is there Wi-Fi and a parking space?
Wi-Fi is included in every apartment and free of charge. Whether a parking space comes with it depends on the apartment; where there is one, it also takes vans and lorries. Tell us what you are arriving in and how many vehicles are coming, and we will pick accommodation where that works.
Is there a minimum rental period?
As a rule we rent from five to seven nights upwards. There is no upper limit: anything from one week to several months is possible, and if the project runs longer, we extend without fuss. If you need something shorter, just ask and we will tell you what can be arranged.
Which cities do you have accommodation in?
In Frankfurt am Main, Nuremberg, Cologne, Dresden, Hanover, Leipzig, Bremen, Stuttgart, Mannheim, Dortmund and Düsseldorf. Frankfurt is our largest location, and it is where we started in 2021. We cover further cities on request, so just ask about your job site.
