We let a furnished room in Stuttgart as a single room for a quiet evening off, or as a double room for two colleagues. Every apartment is fully furnished and has its own kitchen, bathroom and washing machine. Despite the city's basin setting, the plants, construction sites and centre are quickly reached via the good transport links. If several colleagues travel together, we combine rooms within one apartment or hand over the whole unit, from a studio to an entire house.

For fitters, Stuttgart almost always means the surrounding region too. In the Neckar valley lie the Mercedes-Benz plant Untertürkheim, the Münster power station and the Hedelfingen harbour, to the north Porsche in Zuffenhausen and Bosch in Feuerbach. Sindelfingen adjoins to the south-west, to the south on the Filder plateau the Landesmesse and the airport. Further out lie Weissach, Ditzingen, Esslingen, Waiblingen and Winnenden. The rail hub with Stuttgart 21 remains a permanent site.

Those are exactly the bottleneck for vans: the A8 and A81 run past Stuttgart, while the way in goes via the B14 and B27, and in rush hour the basin costs noticeable time. Anyone arriving by train is often quicker with the S-Bahn and Stadtbahn than in their own vehicle.
